Lewis B. Insler, Esq., Partner


Lewis B. Insler co-founded the law firm Insler & Hermann, LLP in 2003 together with his partner, Gabriel Hermann, in order to focus on disability claims.  He has been successfully representing Social Security disability claimants since his graduation from Albany Law School in 1979.  

Lew is admitted to practice in New York State and in the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of New York.  He is recognized throughout the legal community as an expert on Social Security Disability, and he often lectures to both lay and professional organizations on disability claims in general, as well as the interplay between multiple sources of benefits.
Lew is a member of the Bar Associations in New York State, Westchester and Dutchess Counties, Northern Westchester County, and the American Bar Association.  A Sustaining Member of the National Association of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), Lew is also a certified Arbitrator for FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and is accredited to handle disability claims before the Veterans’ Administration (VA).

Gabriel J. Hermann, Esq., Partner


Gabriel J. Hermann co-founded the law firm Insler & Hermann, LLP in 2003 together with his partner, Lew Insler, in order to focus on disability claims.  Since his graduation from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law of Yeshiva University in 1994, Gabe has successfully represented thousands of disabled individuals in their applications for Social Security Disability benefits.  
President of the New York Social Security Bar Association (NYSSBA), Gabe is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and in the Federal District Courts for the Southern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, and the New York State and Bergen County Bar Associations, and is also a Sustaining Member of the National Association of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR).
Gabe lectures often to disability-related organizations and legal groups, and has appeared on CNNfn twice to discuss Social Security disability claims. 

Brian M. Anson, Esq., Associate


Brian Anson joined Insler & Hermann as an Associate in 2009.  He has been practicing disability law since 1997, following his graduation from Hofstra University School of Law and two years as a prosecutor in Nassau County.  Brian has successfully represented Social Security claimants throughout the United States, and has expertise in all aspects of Social Security Disability and SSI hearing processes.  

Brian is admitted to practice in New York, Connecticut, and Federal District Court.  He is a member of the New York Social Security Bar Association and the National Association of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR).  He also has extensive experience with Workers’ Compensation claims, and their interplay with Social Security benefits.
